Across the wide and broad Atlantic
(see the pitiless ocean surge and roll)
our former friends are growing frantic
wondering have we lost our soul.
These times are a passing aberration
(lay your hearts and minds to rest)
we're having a bad time in our nation
but Americans will not fail the test.
We stand for liberty and freedom
(those are the basic ideals of the USA)
not all of our people can always see them
but our faith is strong in what they say.
